Mission Statement


At ATBS, we believe that anyone can be successful given the right products, services and information for their business. Our mission is to develop and provide affordable business solutions to the trucking industry that help owner-operators, company drivers, fleets and other partners improve their profitability, grow their businesses and adapt to changes in the industry.




Our History


Todd Amen, who has spent most of his life in the trucking industry, founded ATBS in 1998. His understanding of trucking and of owner-operators prompted him to develop a different approach to providing accounting and tax services for these small-business owners. Realizing that most truckers are overburdened with paperwork and government regulations, ATBS’ initial goal was to simplify the accounting and tax filing process. Owner-operators are good at driving trucks but often do not have the time or desire to manage the “back office” for their independent businesses.

Our original mission was to provide income tax services to owner-operators. That service soon grew to include bookkeeping, budgeting, financial management, industry benchmarking and unlimited business consulting. Over the years, working with thousands of drivers, fleets and business partners, the ATBS team learned the most critical aspects of running a successful trucking business, be it large or small. Our mission has expanded to incorporate solutions that address virtually every aspect of the owner-operator’s business and we now provide solutions to fleets, company drivers and other partners in the industry.
